in January the "Mitten Weather" tasting event focusing on Michigan (Mitten state) beer, cider and spirits during a co-hosted celebration with Founders Brewing Company, 7 p.m. Jan. 20. Samples from bewers include: Dark Horse Brewing Co.; B. Nektar Meadery; Vander Mill; New Holland Brewing and Jolly Pumpkin Brewery.
The craft beer and whisk(e)y hub also hosts the "Robert Burns Birthday Bash: Celebrating All Things Scottish," including whisky, beer and food, 6 p.m. Jan. 25. Fountainhead launches Ferd in the Spey, from its new private label cask Glenfarclas, during the event. Chef Cleetus Friedman prepares traditional Scottish fare including Scotch egg and Haggis patties. Scotch whisky and alesBurns poetry will be read as well.
