Oak Brook Hilton New Year's Day Hangover brunch returns 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 1, The Grille at Chicago/Hilton Oak Brook Hills Resort Conference Center, 3500 Midwest Rd., Oak Brook.

Chef Sean Patrick Curry's "modern farm cuisine," as it is referred, features an array of menu items said to have healing effects to remedy those New Year's Eve celebratory toasts. Brunch samples include: grilled salmon with pineapple-mango relish (salmon contains omega 3-fatty acids and vitamin B12, believed to be depleted from the body with the consumption of alcohol); made-to-order omelets (believed to replace depleted cysteine levels); individual yogurt creations (source of potassium) and tomato basil bisque with wild rice (blood sugar equalizing).

And, to chase all the blues away, the traditional "hair of the dog" drink, one Champagne toast per adult. Cost is $39, adults; $15, ages 5-12; kids under 5 eat free. Make reservations here.
