Compassion, Fashion & Cocktails 2015benefitting the Israel Idonije Foundation, is Oct. 29 at the Godfrey Hotel Chicago, IO Urban Roofscape, 127 W. Huron.

The night includes culinary, special cocktails and a runway show featuring designs from Zadig & VoltaireIsrael Idonije, who spent 10 years playing for the Chicago Bears, will be on hand to greet guests during a VIP cocktail reception 5:30-6 p.m. 

The entire event is for charity and will raise money and awareness for the Israel Idonije Foundation, whose mission is to positively impact underserved communities through programs that help develop social and emotional life skills through its four core programs in Chicago, Winnipeg and West Africa.  

Food Participants include: 25 Degrees; Boka Group; Blue Plate, Freshii; Frontier; Pioneer Tavern Group; Ixcateco Grill; Loews Hotel; Real Urban BBQ; Seasons 52; Sugar Bliss Cake Boutique; Sullivan's Steak House, Untitled and Zoom Pizza Factory. Sommelier Jim Bube of Heritage Wine Cellars hosts a wine tasting.

All ticket holders will have access to a cocktail reception from 6-7:30 p.m. Followed by the fashion show. Tickets, available only at the door, are $65; $100 for the private meet and greet.

It's been reported by several sources that Grant Achatz' Alinea, 1723 N. Halsted, will close January 1, 2016 for renovation and a revamping and menu revamp.Currently no reopening date has been announced.

In the interim Achatz plans to open Alinea pop-ups in Madrid and Miami.
