Yolk features kid-size Green Eggs and Ham special

Entente's last service at Lakeview location, March 2

Entente, 3056 N. Lincoln, closes the door on its Lakeview location with the last service on March 2. 
For the occasion Chef Brian Fisher will prepare a menu (sharable) of some of the restaurant's most popular dishes that will include: Benton’s bacon, cambozola, tomato, green goddess; Anson Mills Carolina Gold with Perigord truffle, egg yolk, pea tendrils, Parmigiano Reggiano) and Slagel Farms Shortrib with Bulgogi, bone marrow butterscotch, Tokyo turnip, sushi rice.
The Michelin-rated restaurant opens in its new River North location, 700 N. Sedgwick in early spring. Reservations will be accepted beginning March 25.

Avli Taverna honors the Greek tradition of Tsiknopempti

Avli Taverna, 1335 Wrightwood, celebrates the annual Greek tradition of Tsiknopempti, also known as "Barbeque Thursday," with a family-style dinner February 28. Two seating’s will be available: 6 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. ($60).

Tsiknopempti takes place on the Thursday during the week of Kreatini, when large amounts of meat are traditionally grilled before the fasting leading up to Easter. 

The traditional-style Greek dinner includes: Santorini-style tomato fritters (appetizer); a family-style grilled meat platter with Greek sausage, ouzo and cumin chicken skewers, lollipop lamb chops and gourounopoulo (rotisserie pork); bourani (tomato risotto side dish); kataifi ekmek (custard dessert) and three Kir-Yianni wines served with dinner. The new items are: red snapper crudo with pickled ginger, turmeric and tangerine oil ($18.95); barbecue octopus with charred lemon garlic potatoes, ranch cabbage slaw and pickled shallots (pictured, $19.95) and whole bandera branzino  (European sea bass) encased in a salt dome, roasted (presented table side ; plated with an agrodolce sauce ($49.95)

The Dude's Abode upstairs at The Rookery, 2109 W. Chicago, is now open. Step into the time-warped thematic den of the Big Lebowski pop-up bar. 

Food inspired by the movie include: The Dude Burger (two 4-oz beef patties, spicy cheese sauce, Romaine, tomatoes, French fried onion rings, served with house fries tossed in shallot garlic oil and Parmesan, pictured); Gutter Ball Nachos (root beer braised pulled pork, fresh guacamole, Pico de Gallo, roasted peppers, pickled chilies, lime crème and cilantro); Jackie Treehorn’s Southern fried fish tacos (three corn shell tacos filled with Southern fried cod, lettuce, pico de gallo and roasted Chili sauce) and the Urban Achievers Fried Snickers Bar (battered deep fried Snickers bar with ice cream).

Featured drinks include: Shut The F*ck Up, Donny (Three Sheets Barrel Aged Rum, Curaçao, Falernum, Peychaud’s Bitters, Angostura Bitters, Folgers Instant Coffee); Bunny’s Toe (peach brandy, Champagne, Peychaud’s Bitters, Gummy Toe); World of Pain (Malört, Aperol, Beefeater Gin, orange juice, Angostura Bitters); Das Autobahn (Schwartzhog Kräuter Liqueur, Kümmel Liqueur, unt Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier) and Mark it Zero (black sesame/honey syrup, Gosling Black Strap Rum, CH Amargo de Chile).

The bar is opened Thursday Friday and Saturday through March 16.

Inspired by the hit '90s show the bar will transform its Below Deck space into a Sex and the City play land featuring cocktails and scratch-made comfort foods from the hit series.

Cosmo Carrie’s, opened 6 p.m. to midnight Wednesday-Saturday through March 20, features cut-outs of the show’s favorite characters, a large step-and-repeat featuring the four main characters, vintage mirrors, cosmopolitan cocktail art, and pink touches/finishes galore.
