The Rambler's, 4128 N. Lincoln Ave., Down & Derby Package for the 150th anniversary of is off to the races 3:30 p.m. May 4, $40 per person.

The package includes food items like fried chicken, pulled pork and pulled pork nachos, mac & cheese, coleslaw, corn on the cob, and rolls. Drinks include Woodford Reserve Mint Juleps and Old Forester cocktails along with import and domestic draft beers, and house red, white and sparkling wines. 

Festivities include a Best Dressed Contest for a chance to win a $100 gift card. And free Derby swag

Guests can watch the race in The Rambler’s large enclosed beer garden outfitted with several flat screen TVs. Limited space available.

Embarc Chicago, an organization dedicated to breaking down barriers in Chicago’s education system to create a more just, equitable, and anti-racist society. Providing schools, communities, and young people with the tools they need to transform how schools integrate social-emotional development and experiential learning.

 CheSa’s Bistro & Bar,  3235 W. Addison continues to spread it's culinary wings, adding lunch service (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) to its menu.

The menu offers a variety of Cajun and creole influenced that features salads, which includes: Mango Fried Shrimp Salad ($18) or Old Bay Caesar Salad ($16) along with sTARTERS; starters including a Pound of Fried Tiger Shrimp ($20), Andouille Chicken Sausage & Jalapeno Cheddar Hushpuppies ($15) or Boudin Stuffed Mushrooms with Cheese ($14).

Popular Starters include Collard Green Grilled Oysters ($28), Seafood Gumbo Bowl ($20), Crispy Calamari ($19, and of course, Fried Green Tomatoes ($15) and Honey Butter Cornbread ($10).

Prairie Grass Cafe, 601 Skokie Blvd., Northbbrook, under the helm of Sara Stegner and George Bumbaris is featuring a "Future Food Leaders" program for kids 2-10 years old, Sundays beginning May 5.  

The supervised program allows kids to create meals from ingredients sourced from local farms. The program includes a pizza making session that will allow the young chefs to create their own pizza.

Decor highlights include: ceiling-high bar showcasing an extensive selection of over 40 Ginjo and Daiginjo sake varieties, alongside a curated collection of rare Japanese whiskeys, that include s Hibiki 21 and Hibiki 30, which serve as the focal point of the bar area.

The omakase room experience will last 2 hours with hours of operation being Tuesday to Thursday from 5PM-11PM, Friday to Saturday from 4p.m. to 12 a.m.; Sunday 4 to 10 p.m.
