Tuman's Tap & Grill, 2159 W. Chicago Ave. gears up for Super Bowl Sunday with a host of deals that includes: Pabst Blue Ribbon pints, $2; Pipeworks Brewing Lizard King pints, $4. 

Food deals include: Chicken Tinga Quesadilla with shredded Amish chicken breast, chipotle sauce, onions and cheese with homemade salsa and sour cream, $14; Nachos with tortilla chips, refried beans, mozzarella cheese, sour cream and housemade pico de gallo; $12.

Atelier's opening date and chef appointee

Atelier, 4835 N. Western Ave., has appointed Christian Hunter as Executive Chef. The restaurant launches dinner service on February 22.

Hunter's signature style focuses on infusing New American fare with unexpected global flavors. He is intrigued by sustainable food production and nutritional anthropology, and strives to utilize the utmost of everything he brings into the kitchen.

Fika Fest returns to Andersonville February 3-5 and with it the return of the Coffee and Hot Cocoa Crawl.

Alpine Fest @Buffalo Creek Brewing, January 27-28

Buffalo Creek Brewing, 360 Historical Ln., Long Grove, hosts the annual Alpine Fest, January 27-28. The brewery's grounds transform for the occasion into an replicated German-style retreat in the BCB Alpine Biergarten Village for the event.

For the occasion 11 heated wood lodges with  benches, tables, lighting and Alpine decor. 

In addition to an array of beers, which includes tasting the new Buffalo Gose, there will be live music, games and food trucks on site.

The village opens 4 p.m. January 27; 2 p.m. January 28. A portion of the proceeds benefits Long Grove Lion's Club.

Brasserie by C&C is the new kid on the block. Chef Jesse Lee is at the helm of the eatery, which offers a prix fixe menu as well as a rotation of a la carte menu items of French inspired cuisine.

Dishes include: French onion soup;  pork belly crispy rice; foie gras croquettes; steak frittes; short rib pappardelle and pan seared Coho salmon.
