arah Syman, The Dandy Crown's bar director, has an array of festive holiday cocktails in mind for the occasion, both alcoholic and non alcoholic. 

Seasonal selections include: A Very Dandy Holiday hot cider (Glenlivet Founders Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Spiced Cranberry Syrup, Hot Apple Cider – with a non-alcoholic version made with Seedlip Spice 94 Non-Alcoholic Spirit
);

New Orleans' Cure takeover at The Violet Hour


Team members from New Orleans—based Cure heads to Chicago for a one-time only collaborative event with The Violet Hour, 1520 N. Damen Ave.

The two entities come together December 8 for an evening of collaboration, interactive demonstration and conversation as they discuss drinks and talk books.

The event opens with a book signing at 5 p.m.

Ticket holders will receive select seating and includes three chef curated small bites paired with three cocktails. If you miss out on a ticket limit standing room will be available at the high-tops and bar with an a la carte menu available to order from.

Timothy O'Toole's Pub, participating locations, is featuring global-inspired food specials specials representing World Cup teams now through December 18.

Food items include: Pomme frits (France: thin cut fries with trio of aioli, $9); Bratwurst burger (Germany: grilled bratwurst patty, sauerkraut, brown mustard on pretzel bun, $15); Gaucho burger (Argentine: half pound patty topped with red roasted pepper, shaved Parmesan cheese; and chimichurri aioli served with choice of side, $16); Bangers and mash (grilled English bangers over mashed potatoes, topped with Ale gravy; $15) and Tostadas de Tomate y Jamon (Spain: grilled bread topped with roasted garlic spread, oven dried tomatoes and Serrano ham; $14.

Jake Melnick's Thanksgiving turkey burger and 12 wings of Christmas peomotion


Executive Chef Matt Smith, Jake Melnick's Corner Tap, 41 E, Superior St., adds the holiday specialty— Thanksgiving on a bun turkey burger, to the menu (turkey burger topped wit stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and gravy on a brioche bun) available 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. November 24. The regular menu along with football viewing will be available as well.

In addition the tap kicks off it's 12 wings of Christmas special, featuring a global wing special a day begins November 25.

Free football, turkey burgers and brats @Cody Public House, Thanksgiving Day


Cody Public House, 1658 W. Barry Ave., complimentary turkey burgers and brats will be available to guests to grill on the venue's patio Thanksgiving Day.

The burgers are first come-first served for as long as the supply last, all grilling will take place on the dog-friendly outdoor area.
