Corona Hosts the Inaugural NYE Chi-Town Rising

Corona Extra presents the first-ever Chi-Town Rising NYE extravaganza featuring family, partying and countdown events including fireworks at various locations in the city. Events include a family countdown 3-6 p.m. Dec. 31, Wrigley Square, Millennium Park; Broadcast Blvd. 7-12:30 a.m. at upper Wacker at Michigan and Columbus, featuring nonstop music, selfie station, live TV broadcast with Mario Lopez with home-town band Chicago and American Authors, food stations and more 7-11 p.m. followed by a countdown to the new year; Corona Beach House 7-12:30 a.m. at the Chicago River at lower North Water and Columbus; complimentary food buffet and Corona.

Mario Lopez hosts a live broadcast (NBC and Telemundo) 11 p.m. 12:30 a.m. Live performances kick-off 7 p.m. on the Countdown Stage.

Special events includes a soiree at the Chicago Hilton, 720 S. Michigan; gala at Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier, 600 E. Grand, 8:15 p.m. to 2 a.m. and evening activities at Howells and Hood, 435 N.
