Women's Restaurant Week kicks off today, which happens to be Women's Equality Day, and area restaurants helmed by woman are stepping up to the plate.
Trailblazing women chefs such as Sarah Stegner (Prairie Grass Cafe) and Carrie Nahabedian (Brindille) are joining James Beard Foundation trustee and Let's Talk founder Rohini Dey (Vermilion) in encourage the support for women-driven restaurants. The event runs through August 31. Look for specials at participating restaurants. Participants subject to change. More details here.
