Avli River North, 702 N. Wells, opens today with dinner service beginning at 5 p.m.
The contemporary Greek restaurant, a parthenrship between chef/manager Louis Alexakis; sportscaster Lou Canellis and investor William V. Glastris, Jr., is manned by Greek American chefs John Boudavas and Billy Alexopoulos under the direction of Alexakis.
The restaurant is the third restaurant owned by the trio. Avli Taverna , 1335 W. Wrightwood, (Lincoln Park) and Avli Estiatorio (566 Chestnut (Winnetka) are the other two.
