The 28th Annual Long Grove Apple Fest take place September 20-22, 308 Old McHenry Rd., in historic downtown Long Grove.
Guests will be feted with apple-centric food and drinks that include: fresh apple cider donuts; green apple cotton candy, chocolate caramel apples, candy covered apples, apple wine, apple sangria, hard apple ciders, spiced apple lattes, granny apple popcorn, apple crisps, apple goat cheese dumplings, apple cheesecake, apple pie, cinnamon apple ice cream, apple sugar cookie, apple tempura and a variety of farm fresh picked apples from Frank’s Farm Orchard
Festivities also includes live music on two stages; a Kids zone, games and food-related events such as an apple pie-eating contest. Admission is $5, ages 12 and older; a three-day pass (available on line only) is $10. Hours are noon to 11 p.m. (September 20); 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. (September 21) and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (September 22).
