Dovetail Brewery and Begyle Brewing join forces for a spring celebration during the Third Annual Mayfestiversary May 25 during a Ravenswood block party, taking place near the Brown Line between W. Belle Plaine and W. Cuyler Ave.
More than a dozen locally brewed beers, varied cuisine from some of the finest food trucks in the city and live music will be part of the festivities.
Both brewer swill hold specials tapping exclusive to the event. Saturday, Dovetail will tap its Maibock, a honey-toned beer brewed in January and then hibernated for 4 months. Begyle taps its Boat Shoes Kölsch-style beer on Sunday. Both tappings take place at 1:30 p.m.
Also during the event Dovetail will host a series of short talks and guided tastings in the Barrel Loft lead by co-owners and Master Brewers Hagen Dost and Bill Wesselink and Advanced Cicerones Jenny Pfafflin and Shana Solarte. Talks are free and open to the public, and are open on a first-come, first-serve basis. Hours are noon to 10 p.m. May 25-26.
