Heaven on Seven's Mardi Gras takeout menu available

Anyone familiar with the Chicago restaurant scene knows there is no better place to party during Mardi Gras then Heaven on Seven and while the restaurant is still not open for business, owner Jimmy Bannos aka the Mardi Gras king, has designed a takeout menu chock-full of his Cajun creations for the occasion.

Menu items, available beginning today, includes a party package for two (3 quarts of any item on the Mardi Gras menu; six cornbread squares and 32 oz of the restaurant's signature Hurricane (four 8-oz drinks) $175; $150 without Hurricanes.


A la Carte items includes:

Soup menu: shrimp and corn chowder; chicken and andouille sausage gumbo; shrimp and crab gumbo; seafood and andouille gumbo; shrimp and crab bisque and shrimp gumbo.

Entree menu: seafood Orzolaya with Aglio e olio, crawfish, shrimp, crab and scallops; Mardi Gras jambalaya; pasta shells with Bayou cream sauce, stuffed with shrimp and crawfish; Bayou ala King with corn bread; Mardi etouffee; and red beans and rice. 

Orders begin today through March 1. No order pickup available Sunday February 27.
