Buffalo Creek Brewing's February release and Beerlympics events begin today

Buffalo Creek Brewing, 360 Historical Lane, Long Grove, Winter Beerlympics and new beer releases begin February 4.  

BCB's inaugural Winter Beerlympics, in honor of the Winter Olympics, takes kicks off Friday in the brewer's Alpine Biergarten and the Rustic Lounge. 

In addition to an array of seasonal beers the event features its own winter games for all ages and include: Hammerschlagen (German nail and hammer game); horseshoes; giant Jenga and Snow Snake, an American native game played in the snow. During the games on February 5 and 12 winners will be  saluted with prizes.

February Beer releases will be introduced February 4; 5 and 13 (other dates to be announced). Beers include: Heaven N Hell: Munich Helles is the second of BCB’s three new core beers taking over on premise and retail distribution this year (February 4);  Xerxes: Chocolate Bacon Stout returns after a two-year hiatus in time for Long Grove’s annual Cocoa Crawl. Free samples of Xerxes for adults and free hot cocoa for kids (February 5) and a Valentine's brew: Leslie Knope Kolsch: Marrvelous brew infused with passion fruit, orange and guava (February 13).

Fork N Fry Food truck will be on hand 4-8 p.m. February 4 as well.
