Avli, kicks off a summer-long offering of picnic baskets beginning National Picnic Day (April 23).
Two varieties are available the Avli Basket (chicken skewer (4); pork skewers (4); crispy Greek fries; watermelon salad; Diane salad; tzatziki with pita and cucumbers and bottle of chilled Kycklos Moschofilero Greek wine; $50) the second option is the Boat's in the Water (grilled seafood platter featuring shrimp, calamari and octopus with olive oil and wine vinegar; Kataifi prawns (4); chicken skewers (4); Greek salad; watermelon salad; spicy fetal spread with pira and cucumbers; ride side and bottle of chilled Kyclos rose wine; $60).
Pre-paid pick-up through Tock at the 1335 W. Wrightwood Ave.; 702 N. Wells St. and 566 Chestnut St., Winnetka locations. Baskets will be available through Labor Day.
