Chef Jeff Mauro of Pork & Mindy's, joined by baseball legend Bo Jackson, launches pig candy (candied bacon dusted with brown sugar, then slow smoked) during a special event March 20 at Mariano's New City, 1500 N. Clybourn.
The new offering is available in original and sweet heat. Doors open to customers at 6:15 p.m. Mauro and Jackson will be on hand to greet and interact with guests.
