North, is sponsoring a tamale eating contest fundraiser for Curtis Granderson's Grand Kids Foundation charity, beginning 6 p.m. January 8. Ganderson, a free agent from Chicago's south suburbs, who most recently played on the 2017 Los Angeles Dodgers team, is a friend of The Delta's owner Eldridge Williams, and will MC the event. Entrants for the contest can register here. There is a $20 entry fee. A portion of the day's proceeds, including funds from Cutwater Spirits canned alcoholic drinks, onsite raffle and the contest, will benefit Granderson's charity.
