Maifest Chicago's cancellation for the second year has inspired Dank Haus German American Cultural Center, 4740 N. Western Ave., to host a Maifest fundraiser 6 p.m. June 5.
The event will feature an abundance of traditional German fare, catered by Himmels while the Paloma Band serves up entertainment. And of course beer and wine will be on hand.
In addition a silent auction will take place. Hours for the event are 6-10 p.m. COVID guidelines will be followed and all guests musts wear masks. Purchase tickets or make a donation here.
