The Chicago Firehouse, 1401 S. Michigan Ave., serves up a Mother's Day special menu; $55, per person (tax and gratuity not included).
The prix fixe meal includes a choice of appetizers: lobster bisque; smoke salmon crepes; chopped wedge salad; spring vegetable cruditès or Caesar salad. Choice of featured entrees include; grilled prime filet mignon with bèrnaise sauce; sautèed Alaskan halibut with saffron butter; seared Scottish salmon with green olive and caper or applewood smoked ham with maple glaze and peach chutney. Choose a side of sautèed asparagus; Brussels sprouts; classic whipped potatoes with garlic creamed spinach or spring peas with fresh mint and scallions. Dessert is a choice of strawberry shortcake or blueberry cheesecake.
