Russian Tea Time celebrates its 25th anniversary with a three-course prix-fixe dinner

Russian Tea Time, 77 E. Adams, is featuring a three-course prix-fixe dinner in honor of its 25th anniversary now through March 31.

Dinner, available 4-8 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays only, begins with an alcoholic beverage of choice that includes either house-flavored vodkas or vodkas imported from Russia, Poland, and Ukraine, Scandinavia, Western Europe as well as domestic selections. A choice of red or white wine is also an alternative option. 

First course selections are: hearty mushroom barley soupUkrainian borscht (sweet and sour soup of beets, with cabbage, carrots, potatoes, and tomatoes, served hot with sour cream); classic Russian garden salad or green salad. Main course choices are: vegetarian or meat-filled dumplings with fillings of the day; a grilled chicken breast Florentine, with spinach, garlic, lemon juice and a savory mushroom sauce; Moldavian meatballs (ground chicken and onion filled meatballs, simmered in a sweet and sour tomato sauce) or the Uzbek “layer” stew domlama (stew of potatoes, carrots, beets, cabbage, tomatoes, garlic, red peppers, and onions). Yolk's 9th area location is expected to open early Spring

Yolk is set to open it's ninth Chicago area location at 1504 N. Fremont. the eatery is expected to up and running in early Spring. 

The new location will feature an elevated coffee program, featuring a selection of handcrafted espresso drinks and homemade syrups such as Pacific coconut mint and cinnamon breakfast along with menu favorites guests love. The restaurant is also going to have an upgraded look.

Pink Boots and Goose Island's collaborative Women's Day brew

Goose Island Beer Co, Fulton Street Taproom, 1800 W. Fulton, is hosting several Chicago-based brewers for the Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day 2019 event March 8.
Participating brewers will create a Women of the House (3.8) brew, a special pale with proceeds benefitting the Pink Books Society, a non-profit organization, which supports women working in the brewing profession and Should She Run, nonpartisan nonprofit promoting leadership and encouraging women from all walks of life to run for office. The beer will be available at retail.

Entente's last service at Lakeview location, March 2

Entente, 3056 N. Lincoln, closes the door on its Lakeview location with the last service on March 2. 
For the occasion Chef Brian Fisher will prepare a menu (sharable) of some of the restaurant's most popular dishes that will include: Benton’s bacon, cambozola, tomato, green goddess; Anson Mills Carolina Gold with Perigord truffle, egg yolk, pea tendrils, Parmigiano Reggiano) and Slagel Farms Shortrib with Bulgogi, bone marrow butterscotch, Tokyo turnip, sushi rice.
The Michelin-rated restaurant opens in its new River North location, 700 N. Sedgwick in early spring. Reservations will be accepted beginning March 25.

Avli Taverna honors the Greek tradition of Tsiknopempti

Avli Taverna, 1335 Wrightwood, celebrates the annual Greek tradition of Tsiknopempti, also known as "Barbeque Thursday," with a family-style dinner February 28. Two seating’s will be available: 6 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. ($60).

Tsiknopempti takes place on the Thursday during the week of Kreatini, when large amounts of meat are traditionally grilled before the fasting leading up to Easter. 

The traditional-style Greek dinner includes: Santorini-style tomato fritters (appetizer); a family-style grilled meat platter with Greek sausage, ouzo and cumin chicken skewers, lollipop lamb chops and gourounopoulo (rotisserie pork); bourani (tomato risotto side dish); kataifi ekmek (custard dessert) and three Kir-Yianni wines served with dinner.
