The Graystone Tavern's, 3441 N. Sheffield Ave., popular hanukkah "8 Crazy Nights," popup returns beginning November 19.
During the event guests will be feted with a special food menu and themed drinks in a festive holiday setting that includes: blue and white lights and Hanukkah ball lanterns along with Star of David and dreidel ornaments a lit menorah and more including a wall of Hanukkah sweaters.
Food favorites include: matzo ball soup; three varieties of latkes (classic; cilantro jalapeno with chipotle sour cream and herb cheddar with chive sour cream); brisket egg rolls; brisket sandwich and brisket platter. dessert—boozy jelly donuts with vodka-infused jelly.
Specialty themed drinks include: Festival of Lights martini (RumChata, Bushmills Red Bush Irish Whiskey; creme de cacao white; caramel swirl and a gold sugar rim); Gelt martini (Schmerling's chocolate liqueur; 28 Mile vodka from local manufacturer); Tippy Cow chocolate shake (sugar rim and Gelt coin); Mazel Tov (Nolet's Silver Gin; Mionetto Prosecco; blueberry; rosemary simple syrup and lemon syrup).
New drink offerings this year include the Blue Toddy ((Wild Hibiscus Blue Tea, Bushmills Red Bush Irish Whiskey, honey, lemon) and Hanukkah Harry's hot chocolate (Maker’s Mark, Bourbon, Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream, hot chocolate, whipped cream, gold sugar, served in a gold mug), $12 each.
Empirical Brewery's Circumsessionable Lager ($7), exclusive for the event will on tap as well.
