Autism-friendly dinner @The Kennison, December 15

The Third Annual Autism-friendly  dinner takes place 4 p.m. December 15, The Kennison, 1800 N. Lincoln Ave. 

Located across the street from Lincoln Park Zoo, guests who come in with a ticket for the Zoo Lights event at LPZ will receive a 10 percent discount. An adult and children's menu will be available. See menu information below.

Tickets for the dinner are $40 for adults and includes (a copy of the book I Like Dinosaurs, Too! or What About Me? A Book by and for an Autism Sibling. Both books are written by Mandy Farmer and illustrated by The Kennison's beverage director, Emily Neff). In addition $10 from every ticket sold benefits Autism Speaks

Children eat for free. Reservation for dinner 4-8 p.m. are required. Call 312-981-7070.

AUTISM-FRIENDLY EVENING: DINNER MENU

Shared Appetizer
Fried Mozzarella, marinara and basil

Kids, choose:
Beverage
Grilled Cheese and Fries
Chicken Fingers and Fries
Buttered Noodles
Linguini with Marinara
Hamburger or Cheeseburger with Fries

Adults, choose:
Glass of beer or wine
Roasted half chicken with fingerling potatoes, melted leeks, frisee salad and honey-lavender jus; grilled swordfish with sweet corn, bacon, beet greens, puree and brown butter or housemade Pappardelle pasta with tomato and wild mushroom ragu and pecorino (vegetarian) 

Shared Dessert
Powdered Sugar Doughnut Holes with chocolate fudge, salted caramel and raspberry sauces
