Avli Taverna, 1335 W. Wrightwood Ave., celebrates the annual Greek tradition of Tsiknopempti, translated (Greek Fat Thursday), March 4-7.
For the occasion, which is a salute to large amounts of grilled and roasted meats Avli is spotlighting The Carnival Board: New Zealand lamb chops (6); pork souvlakia (8); shredded shoulder lamb keftedes (8); chicken souvlakia (4); Greek fries, and pita with tzatziki, tirokafteri, and garlic aioli; $99.
Libations include: Greek beer and cocktails are available as add-ons.
