The Chocolate Sanctuary, 5101 Washington, Gurnee, hosts is weekend of holiday specials including its last holiday tea before Christmas, noon to 4 p.m. December 21.
Holiday inspired offerings available through December 23 include: the gingerbread cookie martini (RumChata, gingerbread flavored syrup, vanilla vodka and Half and Half, $6); Santa's peppermint delight (white chocolate mousse, chocolate peppermint ganache, chocolate cake, creme anglaise, dark chocolate and fresh whipped cream, $8); brie and cranberry bites, $9; and 6-ounce grilled filet served with mashed potatoes and walnut and gorgonzola mousse.
