Higgins, Schaumburg, hosts a four-course good-by to summer-luau dinner 7 p.m. August 28 (check-in begins at 6:30 p.m.) featuring roast pig, tiki cocktails and craft beers from Kona Brewing Company.
Dishes include tuna poke taco, crispy wonton, soy sesame green onion; huli huli chicken skewers with Maui onion, sweet and sour pineapple jam; Kalua pig, hoisin, charred green onion, green papaya slaw and tiki-rific pineapple upside down cake, coconut sorbet, cilantro.
The cost is $45 and included Kona Big Wave Golden Ale and Longboard Larger. Specialty Hawaiian cocktails (mai tai, blue Hawaiian and crushed pina colada) will be available. Reservations required and can be made at (846) 278-5181.
