South Side YMCA, 6330 S. Stony Island, hosts a Juneteenth Community BBQ noon to 4 p.m. June 19. Guests can bring grill, food, beverages to the outdoor cookout.
DJ Twelve Gage will be spinning tunes. Tours of the YMCA will be given.
T-shirts will be available to commemorate the occasion. A portion of the proceeds from the sales will benefit the South Side YMCA. Admission is free.
