Sketchbook Brewing , 4901 Main St., Skokie, is doubling up with Juneteenth and Father's Day events this June 19-20. Along with featuring its Freedomish Juneteenth brew (Saison brewed with hibiscus, and orange peel) available on tap and in cans at both Sketchbook's Evanston and Skokie locations.
All profits from sales will be donated to local nonprofit organizations promoting Juneteenth and racial justice: Skokie United and Evanston Present and Future.
Juneteenth celebration includes a two sets performed by jazz trumpeter Corey Wilkes (5:30; 7:30 p.m.) June 19. Reservations, recommended, can be made for 5 or 7 p.m.
The Soul & Smoke BBQ Truck will be on site both days. Pre-order, which are strongly recommended, are available. More details here.
