Prairie Grass Cafe and the Lee Initiative partner to offer free holiday meals for laid off restaurant employees

Chef/owners Sarah Stegner and George Bumbaris of Prairie Grass Cafe have partnered with the Lee Initiative's Restaurant Reboot Relief Program and food partners Slagel Family Farms; Genesis Growers; Capriole Goat Cheese and Three Sisters Garden to help feed 

The initiative is to help support restaurant employees who have been laid off. The program is offer a free holiday meal from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. December 22 at Prairie Grass Cafe, 601 Skokie, Northbrook. 


Guests will be feted to a meal of BBQ slow braised beef with sweet and white potato cheese gratin; salad of greens and pea shoots with apple cider vinaigrette and cookies. Meals come fully cooked with reheating instructions. Call: 847-205-4433.
