Big Jones, 5347 N. Clark, host Beer Without Borders, a benefit beer dinner, featuring selections from Bridgeport's Marz Community Brewing, Centro Romero and Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and AICIRR, 6 p.m. May 24 ($100) as part of its Craft Beer Week salute. The event is in support of Chicago's immigrant communities with all proceeds benefitting Centro Romero and Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR).
Dinner begins at 7 p.m. and will include pairings such as smoked whitefish, onion bialy, horseradish beer cheese, sweet pickle paired DillineWeiss, a Berliner Weiss with dill and barbecued goat i banana curry, boiled peanuts, baby mustard greens, glabberima rice paired with Jungle Boogie, a pale wheat ale with rooibos.
