Revolution Brewing releases its limited edition harvest pale ale during the Fifth Annual Penguin Hops at the Shedd release party 6 p.m. November 17, Shedd Aquarium, 1200 S. Lake Shore.
Will Turner will be on hand to discuss Revolution's brewing process during a special Science Pub session along with a Shedd's penguin experts discussing the aquatic species for which the brew is named. Penguin will be available for purchase, $1 from every pint sold will benefit the Shedd's conservation initiates. Food, music and other brews will also be available. Tickets are $25.

When NaKorn Kitchen, 1622 Orrington, Evanston, planned its grand opening for October 28 the owners couldn't have imagined it would be opening the same day the Cubs would hosts their first home game in the World Series, but they did and the restaurant has rescheduled its grand opening to November 4. In the mean time the restaurant is showing its Cubs spirit by offering a complimentary dessert, "#FlyTheW," to fans donning Cubs wear during the home games.

Chicago is Myron Mixon's kind of town, selecting the city as the spot to open his first restaurant, even more fortuitously in Cubs territory at 3801 N. Clark. The famed pitmaster, who opened his restaurant's doors last week, is offering an all-you-can-eat barbecue menu during the Cubs home stretch October 28-30 beginning at 5 p.m and extended one hour after each game. The special menu features ribs, pulled pork, brisket, Myron's world famous cupcake chicken, smoked sausage, pig wings, baby back mac, hush puppies, potato salad and baked beans for $50 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Q-BBQ, celebrates the Chicago Cubs NLCS victory with smoked goat sandwiches at their pop-up restaurant in Willis Tower, 233 W. Wacker, October 25. The pop-up shop is featuring a hickory smoked goat sandwich, rubbed with their thirteen spice blend, smoked over hickory and applewood logs for eight hours. The sandwich, priced ($10.08) too reflect the number of years since the Cubs last won the World Series, will be available while supplies last.
