Blackbird's Valentine's Day dinner

Items on Chef Ryan Pfeiffer curated menu highlights include: pounded big eye tune with sea succulents and oscietra caviar; crispy kusshi oyster with kimchi honey and coconut nuoc  cham (pictured); dry aged beef tartare with truffled sauce chasseur; sweet chill glazed quail with brassicas and coriander and dark chocolate mousse bar, porter pudding with fermented cranberry and sesame. Hard Rock Cafe, 63 W. Ontario, hosts the NBA All-Star weekend events beginning 10 p.m. February 13.

DJ Mack; Sean Harris and Dj Twin rock the house. Moneybaggyo gives a special performance.

The venue gets the real party started February 14 with it's Opulent party, 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Tickets.

The Trotter Project hosts Whisky, Wine & Wagyu Fest


The Trotter Project is hosting a Whisky, Wine & Wagyu Fest 6:30 p.m. February 27 at the Boelter Superstore, 1071 W. Division.

The event includes: Aberlour whisky cocktails and wine paired with Wagyu bites presented by some of Chicago’s top chefs, including Michael Armstrong (Tao), Ken Carter (Gather), and Amber Lancaster (Rekki), and Michael Taus (Gemstone Hospitality), supported by some of The Trotter Project’s local student scholars. 


Early bird tickets will be available beginning February 14 for $60. Regular Tickets are $75. Proceeds directly benefit The Trotter Project, GuideStar Platinum-rated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established based on Chef Trotter’s guiding principles of excellence to educate and mentor young talent interested in the global culinary and hospitality industries. Tickets.

Delilah's hosts the 22nd Annual Vintage Beer Festival


The 22nd Annual Vintage Beer Festival takes place noon to 5 p.m. February 15, Delilah's, 2721 N. Lincoln.

More than 50 brewers will be on deck including: Three Floyds; Pipeworks; Goose Island; Jolly Pumpkin; Two Brothers; Hal Acre and Une Annee & Bell's. Brewers traveling from the UK; Belgium; Finland; Sweden;
Spain and Canada will also be in the house.

The Dandy Crown, 694 N. Milwaukee, has a new Happy Hour program designed by the bar’s cocktail aficionado, Sarah Syman, who has selected two of her favorite classic cocktails with her twist, featured at a discounted rate 3-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
