Chef William of El Tapeo, 2100 Spring RD., Oak Brook, hosts premier tasting event, featuring the unveiling of its private label bourbon Charred Oak Brook, 4 p.m. September 26, $55.
Guests will be feted with a tasting flight of curated cocktails paired with passed tapas. Guests purchasing a bottle of the Charred Oak Brook will receive a souvenir bottle etching.
Featured tapas include:
- Bourbon cured salmon, cucumber, fried capers, egg yolk jam, served on pumpernickel
- Sweet potato pave, maple aioli, bourbon smoked salt, sage crumble
- Corn fritter, cr譥 fraiche, basil, caviar
- Shaved Serano ham, mostarda
- Beef empanada, guindilla pepper aioli
Tasting sessions are: 4-6 p.m; 6-8 p.m; and 8-10 p.m. September 26.
