Cody’s Public House, 1658 W. Barry Ave., has reopened under a new ownership. The former neighborhood hot spot, was owned by Gene Frankowski, who named the bar for his dog.
Frankowski closed the business in 2019, eventually selling the building to Red Door Tavern Group in September 2021, who promised to honor the bar’s legacy with tasteful restorations of and updated amenities.
Hours are 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday-Friday; 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday; 11 a.m to 2 a.m. Sunday. Call: 773-799-8217.
