“Ikebana & Sake: Art of Japan”
event on Wednesday, July 10 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests will learn how to create Japanese Ikebana (flower arranging) while sampling sake.
This hands-on class for beginners will feature demonstrations of several different types of Ikenobo freestyle arrangements. Participants will then get to create their own arrangement. Seasonal floral materials and a vase will be provided.
While creating the Ikebana arrangements guests will enjoy four sake selections that include: Tozai Blossom of Peace Plum Sake, Rihaku Dreamy Clouds, Shiokawa 'Cowboy' Yamahai Junmai Ginjo Genshu Sake, and Fukucho Moon on the Water brewed by Imada brewery whose brewer and owner is female, Miso Imada, which is a rarity in Japan. Appetizers, including chicken karaage and agedashi tofu, will be provided.
