Commonwealth Tavern kicks off Labor Day weekend with a Notre Dame viewing party

Commonwealth Tavern, 2000 W. Roscoe, kicks off Labor Day weekend with a viewing of the Notre Dame football season opener vs. the Temple University Owls, 2:30 p.m. September 2. Specials will include $5 20-ounce Miller Lite stadium cups, $5 Guinness, $10 Fighting Irish nachos and $5 Jameson shots.


A family-friendly brunch all be available all weekend long including from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Labor Day. In addition to a $3 Build-Your-Own Mimosa Bar and $6 Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary Bar, guests will enjoy items like the Breakfast Burger (70% brisket, 30% bacon patty, tavern sauce, bread + butter pickles, fried egg on a brioche bun; $14), Buffalo or BBQ Wings ($10), Brunch Schnitzel (fried pork tenderloin, fried egg, smoked potatoes, pickled red onion, herb aioli; $14) and more.


Commonwealth offers a Kids Menu that ranges in price from $5 to $6 with options like bacon and eggs, grilled cheese, mini cheese burgers and chicken fingers.
