Chicago’s Classic Rock station 97.1 FM The Drive hosts its second annual Bacon Bash (featuring bacon and pork-inspired dishes), noon to 3 p.m. February 3, Drake Hotel Oak Brook, 2301 York Road, Oak Brook.
Partipants include: Pork & Mindys, Michael Jordan's Restaurant, Katie O' Reilly's Food Carnival, Ronero, Eddie Merlot's, Antico Posto, Son of a Butcher, Whisk, Rack House Tavern, Green St. Grille, McQ's Bar and Grill, McWethy's Tavern, Cupcakes for Courage, Adobe Gilas, Connie's Pizza, Famous Dave's, Lee N' Eddies, Two Fat Guys and Simply Appetizers.
In addition several full bars will be stationed about the area. Tickets are $50; $70 VIP tickets with an early entry are available. Must be 21 and older.

Benny's Chop House, 444 N. Wabash, serves up an extended restaurant week lunch menu, available 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through February 11(Chicago Restaurant Week officially ends February 8). The lunch menu ($22), begins with the Chop House maple glazed bacon nachos (pictured), followed by a choice of Natural USDA Prime tournedo of filet mignon, shrimp deJonghe and fingerling potatoes ($8 surcharge applies); seared wild Canadian whitefish en Barigoule served over toasted cous cous or Apulian orecchiette broccolini, oyster mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes. Mayor Rahm Emanuel has declared a day for each soon-to-be Chicago Chefs Hall of Fame inductees Fred Hoffman, Industry Leader (February 15); Mindy Segal, HotChocolate: Pastry Chef of the Year (February 16) and John Hogan. River Roast: Chef of the Year (February 17). The chefs will be inducted into the Chicago Culinary Museum and Chefs Hall of Fame, in a ceremony open to the public, 6 p.m. February 17 at the Palmer House Hilton, 17 E. Monroe.
Tickets are 175, and includes entry to the For the Love of Chocolate Foundation's annual fundraiser "Whimsy: A Dessert Dream Brought to Life," immediately following the induction ceremony, 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.

The Chicago Sinfonietta tap takeover at Lagunitas Brewing Company, 2607 W. 17th Street takes place 5:30-8:30p.m. January30. The beer and music event is a fundraiser for the Sinfonietta. Tickets are $20, advance sales; $25, at the door. All proceeds benefit the orchestra's education programs, which are dedicated to dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in classical music. Long Grove hosts its inaugural Cocoa Crawl noon to 4 p.m. February 3 in the villages historic district. The event kicks off at noon at the Visitor Center, 308 Old McHenry Road, where guest check in.
More than 15 vendors will participate in the family-friendly event offering an array of hot cocoa and other cocoa-related products, including Signature Popcorn's hot chocolate popcorn; How Impressive serves up hot cocoa krispy treats.
