The talent of Mattie Williamson, the cook for the Glessner family during the turn of the 20th century, is saluted during the Mattie Williamson Dinner and Presentation 5:30 p.m. March 12 at the historical Glessner House, 1800 S. Prairie Ave.
The event features a six-course dinner created from Williamson's original recipes curated from recipes in Frances Glessner's dinner menu book. Space is limited to 30 guests. Reservations close 5 p.m. March 6. Tickets. Additional events saluting Mattie and other the house staff continues through the week.
