Katherine Anne Confections, 2745 W. Armitage, hosts a Coffee and Chocolate pairing 6-9 p.m. October 13; $25.

The confectioner has invited local Chicago roasters to pair their coffee with Katherine selections. Each roaster will provide two pours and Katherine Anne will pair the coffee with three confections, for a total of 10 coffee and 15 confection samples. Tickets.

Tuman’s Tap & Grill, 2159 W. Chicago, hosts a tapping party beginning 4 p.m. October 11 with Chicago-based Begyle Brewing Company and Oregon-based brewer 2 Towns Ciderhouse.

Brothers Kevin Cary, one of the founders of Begyle, and Adam Cary, the head of quality control at 2 Towns Ciderhouse, decided to bring both teams together for a special limited edition Graf (cider-beer hybrid), Scottie Sippin,’ a French Saison base beer and Newtown Pippin apple juice.
 
Other featured ciders/beers from Begyle include Bushel and a Peck Peach & Honey Saison and Pinky Swear American Pale Ale (both limited releases). Other 2 Towns ciders include Hollow Jack’d, a limited-release Imperial Pumpkin Cider and Brightcider, a semi-dry cider available year-round. Additional information on the featured beers and ciders can be found below.

Representatives from both companies will be on hand 7-9 p.m. Beers range from $6-$8 and will be available while supplies last.

Begyle Brewing and Dovetail Brewery have partnered to host the Third Annual Oktoberfestiversary. October 6-7 at the Ravenswood Corner between Belle Plaine and W. Cuyler. The two-day event, a salute to Begyle's sixth anniversary celebration, will feature more than 30 local brewers.

Dovetail will feature a speical tapping 2 p.m. October 6; Begyle at 2 p.m. October 7. Food vendors That include: Three Legged Taco; Chicago Pizza Boss; DonerMen; Pierogi Rig; Bop Bar Truck; Cookout on Wheels; La Cocinita; Paulina Meat Market and Mac Dynamite, will also be on hand.

A music lineup includes, Saturday: CHIRP Radio 107.1FM (11 a.m.); Friends of the Bog (1 p.m.); Prost Modern Band (2 p.m.); Robert Rolfe Feddersen (3 p.m.); Furious Frank (4 p.m.); Salt Sweat Sugar (5:15 p.m.); Elle Casazza (6:30 p.m.) and The Funk Crusaders (7:45 p.m.). Sunday: CHIRP Radio 107.1FM (11 a.m.); The Box Band (1 p.m.): Prost Modern Band (2 p.m.); Uncle Jesse and the Rippers (3 p.m.); The Bank Notes (4 p.m.); Stone Believers (5:15 p.m.); Coyote Ghost (6:30 p.m.) and Lowdown Brass Band (7:45 p.m.)

A $5 donation is suggested at the gate. A portion of proceeds will benefit: The Friendship Center, Friendship Pet Food Pantry, and CHIRP Radio 107.1FM.

Chance the Rapper designs a Connie's pizza

Connie's Pizza, 2373 Archer, and Chance the rapper partner for charity. The Chicago artist has designed a pizza in the shape of his signature "3" Take a Chance half-pan pizza ($24.99), available 3-7 p.m. October 6.

Chance will be on hand to slice the first piece. In addition, beginning October 8, 55 per cent of the proceeds from the pizza sales will be donated to the rapper's SocialWorks, which aims to empower youth through arts, education and civic engagement while fostering leadership, accessibility and positivity.

State and Lake Chicago Tavern, 201 N State, celebrates Oktoberfest by offering a selection of authentic German cuisine. 

Chef Nathan Sears specialty menu will feature items such as pork schnitzel with truffled apple puree, bacon fried potatoes, Banyuls roasted red cabbage, grapes and celery gremolat, sweet German pancake, aged cheddar soft pretzel with creamy apple mustard, Local Folks grainy mustard and Pleasant Ridge Reserve cheese, crispy roasted schweinshaxe (pork shank) with Haus sauerkraut, dill pickles, roasted carrots with horseradish and herbs, and rye bread (serves two), and a Kaiserschmarrn (sweet German pancake) with Rum raisins, and whipped pistachio butter. German Märzen draft beers will also be on the menu. The special items will be available daily beginning 4 p.m. through October 8.

The Third Annual Lakeview East Wine and Sweets Stroll takes place 3-6 p.m. September 30.

The event offers two routes and features the following stops:

Broadway stops include WineHouse, Blush Boutique, Maison Marcel, Pastoral, Vanille Patisserie, Best Western Hawthorne Terrace, CRAM Fashion, Unabridged Book Store, Coffee and Tea Exchange, Foursided, Windy City Sweets, Stan's Donuts and Advanced Spine & Sports Care.

Clark stops include Veggie Grill, The Colette Collection, Art De Triumph, Foursided, Stan's Donuts, Clark St. Dog, Wells Street Popcorn, Bark by The Park, 11 Degree North, Wow Bao, Bonus Round Game Cafe, TeaGschwendner and Off the Ground Dance Studio.

Tickets are $25, includes commemorative glass and two tickets to the Laugh Factory. Must be 21 and over.

Replay's South Park pop-up bar arrives September 28

Replay Lincoln Park, 2833 N. Sheffield, brings Colorado mountain town of South Park to Chicago with the launch of it's "South Park" themed pop-up bar beginning September 28-October 31. 

The bar will feature custom-made, interactive art, a bus stop character photo backdrop and life-size character cut-outs along with other surprises. Events include viewings of "South Park" episodes, Kyle, Stan, Eric and Kenny events, Smorgas-Wein tasting; cake tasting; "Sons of Witches" costume party, Coon and friends open mic comedy night; City Wok Chinese take-out night. The events comes to an end with the Satan’s Super Sweet 16 costume party on Halloween.

Pop-up Skeeters and Cocktail bar will feature themed cocktails such as Tweek Brother’s Coffee (bourbon, coffee liqueur, molasses, bitters and cold brew); KFC Gravy Mary (spiced vodka, chicken stock-infused tomato juice, KFC gravy and Worcestershire); Butters’ Creamy Goo (vanilla vodka, crème de cacao, Irish cream and soda); They Tequilla’d Kenny (tequila and frozen strawberry puree) and Spooky Ghost Ectoplasm Shots (amaretto, cream liqueur and whipped cream). A selection of Colorado beers will also be available.
