Taste of Randolph June 14-16

Taste of Randolph takes place June 14-16 at 900 W. Randolph. In addition to an array of food live music will be featured on two stages. 

Food vendors include: The Bandit; Bar Siena; Chicken Shop; City Winery; Cone; Forno Rosso; Ls Sardine; Mad Social; Nando's; Nicholas Quality Meats; Publican and Rooh.

West Stage performances include: Dennis Lloyd; Abir and Cyn (June 14); Anderson East; the Rural Alberta Advantage; the Ghost of Paul revere; Sun Stereo; Jared Rabin and Magnolia Boulevard (June 15) and Real Estate; Cults; Petal; Soft Speaker; 8Bit Creeps and Mike Maimone band (June 16).

East Stage acts include: Holy Ghost!; Rac and Paris Monster (June 14); Cory Wong; Aqueous; George Porter Jr. Trio; Carlile; Steady Flow and Frequilibrium (June 15) and Billy Strings; 3ODB; Ryan Montbleau Band; Upstate and Pino Farina band (June 16).

The 21st Annual Ribfest Chicago is June 14-16

The 21st Annual Ribfest Chicago takes place June 14-16 at 4000 N. Lincoln Ave. 

Tickets include a three-day VIP Gold pass; three-day VIP Silver and one-day pass (prices range from $25-$500). 

New this year is food package tickets: Full Slab ticket; $100, value of $120 food/beverage tickets; Half-Slab deal; $50, value of $60 food/beverage ticket and the Sampler ticket deal: $25, value of  $30 food/beverage tickets. Hours are 5-10 p.m. June 14; noon to 10 p.m. June 15-19. Tickets.

D.S. Tequila & Compay, 3352 hosts a 50th Pride Parade patio party, June 30. Tickets, available now include: Tex-Mex style brunch and mimosa event 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

The Boystown venue will also have area Djs spinning all day. The parade kicks off noon at Broadway and Montros. No refunds. Tickets.

Pilsen Food Truck Social returns June 8-9 on 18th Street. A percentage of proceeds from event benefits local non-profits.  

Participants include: 5411 Empanadas (Argentinian empanadas); Giordano's (pizza); Lucy's (spicy fried chicken; Pierogi Wagon (Polish dumplings); The Lifeway Kefir Shop (soft-serve frozen Kefir);  The Happy Lobster (Maine lobster); Yum Dum (Asian fusion); Carnivale Food Truck (Latin fusion tacos & sandwiches); Whadda Jerk (Caribbean jerk fusion); Bopbar and Bop Bar Korean Food  (gourmet Korean food); Ms Tittle's Cupcakes (cupcakes, cake pops, banana pudding, butter cookies) Five Squared (Detroit style pizza and desserts) Sunday only; El Campeon (Pina Colada tropical smoothies); La Cebollita Grill  (Mexican food); Rancho. Mateo (Colombia BBQ); A Place by Damao (Szechuan street food); Churro Factory (Fresh churros and dessert); Honky Tonk (smoked BBQ); St. Procopius (enchiladas, horchata, elotes, pambazos, tacos, and huaraches. Prodeeds from these sales benefit the church).
A $20 Sampler ticket, which includes: six sample-sized portions from participating on-site food trucks and restaurants, is available for purchase now.

Artango offers steak and on wine pairing on Wednesdays in June

Artango Bar & Steakhouse, 4767 N. Lincoln, serves up a special Argentine steak and wine tasting menu beginning June 5. Chef Saul Roman's three course prix fixe, paired with Malbec. 

The menu features empanadas and eggplant bruschetta (starter); followed by a NY strip steak cooked on an Argentine parilla served with homemade chimichurri, Malbec sauce and mashed potatoes, finished with a house made flan. Each course will be paired with an Argentine Malbec, known for its full-bodied red with smokey, spicy notes and tannic structure. The menu ($65) will be available every Wednesday in June.

Eno Wine Room kicks of Pride Month Sunday brunch special

ENO Wine Room, located in the InterContinental Hotel, 505 N. Michigan Ave., kicks off  Pour Decisions, a drag brunch series as part of it's Pride Month celebration, beginning noon June 2.

Sundays in June guests will be feted with a choice of bottomless mimosas, sangria, wine spritz or beer with one of Chef Craig Couper's new brunch series entreé.

Hosted by Fox E. Kim (pictured), the weekly service will feature performances by Alex Kay and Mikki Miraj. In addition alumni from RuPaul’s Drag Race will pop in as well.

2019 Chicago Ale Fest in Grant Park

The Chicago Ale Fest returns on Saturday, June 1 to Butler Field in Grant Park, 400 E. Monroe. The fest will have one session with early entry and general admission, and will feature more than 200 craft beers, live music and some of Chicago’s favorite food trucks. Come to Chicago’s front lawn for one of the most anticipated summer craft beer events of the year.

As the most anticipated summer craft beer event of the year, Chicago Ale Fest offers a unique “festival within a festival” concept, bringing five mini-festival experiences inside the gates of Grant Park, including Cider Alley, Lager Lane, West vs. East Coast IPAs, and a mini-food truck fest.
