Cody's Public House, 1658 W. Barry Ave., takes an early approach to its Labor Day celebration opening at 1 p.m. September 5.

Patrons will be feted to a b-y-o-m (bring your own meat) beer garden grilling party.

Pizzeria Uno opens 11 a.m. August 26 at 4200 N. River Rd, Schiller Park. The pizzeria marks the occasion with a host of special events that includes an official  ribbon cutting ceremony by the mayor of Schiller Park at 2 p.m.

The first 100 customers will receive complimentary individual deep dish pizza for dine in. In addition, raffles will be held 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A grand prize giveaway announcement will be made at 3 p.m.
