Cody's Public House, 1658 W. Barry Ave., takes an early approach to its Labor Day celebration opening at 1 p.m. September 5.

Patrons will be feted to a b-y-o-m (bring your own meat) beer garden grilling party.

Dogs will be welcome indoors and out. The beer garden features televisions and dart and bean bag activities. Call: 773-779-8217.
