Buffalo Creek Brewing, 360 Historical Lane, Long Grove, celebrates its 4th anniversary July 15-18 with a limited edition anniversary release and food and entertainment.

The celebration gets underway noon July 15 with the unveiling of 4 Year Cana made from barrel aging hearty 42K beer in a cabernet sauvignon barrel from a Napa winery.

Music and food trucks will be in the biergarten. In addition giveaways of BCB merchandises will be held daily.

Graystone Tavern hosts British open watch party, July 15-16

Graystone Tavern, , host a weekend watch party for 149th British Open beginning 6 a.m. from July 15 through July 18, Graystone will broadcast the tournament on 16 TVs indoors and six TVs in the weatherproofed outdoor beer garden.

Golf-themed cocktails ranging from $9 to $10, include the Tito’s Transfusion (Tito’s Vodka and Owen’s Barstool Transfusion mix), John Daly (Tito’s Vodka, lemonade and iced tea) along with Irish Coffee and other themed drinks.

Drink specials include: $5 Truly and $5 shots of Bushmills Irish Whiskey and Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey.

Breakfast goers can nosh on a specialty breakfast sandwich with egg, pecan smoked bacon, arugula, tomato and Hollandaise creme. The entire menu will be available.

Let's Talk Womxn Chicago present the "Let's Talk Women Picnic in White," event 12-3 p.m. July 11. 

The event a collaboration of women in Chicago's culinary arena. So come dressed in white for a summer afternoon with some extraordinary women in in Chicago's restaurant scene.

Orders for picnic lunches, curated by some of the city's best female chefs and restaurant owners, must be orders by July 8. More details and place lunch orders here.

Taste of Chicago To-Go, a modified version of the city's annual Taste of Chicago event takes place July 7-11 in various pop-up locations across the city.

The main location for Taste of Chicago remains Grant Park, Jackson and Columbus. Admission is free. 

Pop-up locations featuring cooking demonstrations; entertainment and other events will take place place during the city-wide event. View pop-up restaurants.

Prairie Grass is back with a round up of new lunch and dinner specials

Prairie Grass Cafe, 601 N. Skokie Blvd., Northbrook, is featuring a lineup of lunch specials this week beginning July 6 with: chopped Greek salad (romaine, peppers, tomato, red onion, olives, crumbled feta, red wine herb vinaigrette, baked feta with banana peppers and tomatoes; $20.50). Grilled chicken can be added for $6.50.  In addition the restaurant will offer a traditional tuna melt (toasted English muffin, chilled tuna salad, warm melted cheddar, wedge salad with homemade Thousand Island dressing; $16).

Wednesday lunch feature is PGC's Fettuccini Alfredo with local bacon, poached farm egg and grated Parmesan cheese; $18.

Thursday's special is PGC's Benedict (two poached eggs over sautéed spinach, crumbled bacon served on an English muffing with roasted tomato Hollandaise served with potato wedges; $16.

Dinner specials include. prime flat iron steak with sautéed potatoes, pepper & onions, grilled Yellow Mighty tomato and red wine-pesto butter sauce; $32.

Buffalo Creek Brewing’s, 360 Historical Lane, Long Grove, All-American Summer hits a patriotic note with a family oriented concert "American Salute," featuring the Lake County Symphony Orchestra, noon July 3.

The orchestra performs tradition patriotic tunes that includes: Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture; John Phillip Sousa's "Stars and Stripes;" Armed Forces medley, John Williams' "Hymn to the Fallen," and Bulger's "Holiday." 

Aimee Quinn jazz quartet performs from 3-6 p.m.
