El Tapeo Modern Spanish Kitchen, 2100 Spring Road in Oak Brook, launches its Fall "Tour de Spain" series 7 p.m. September 13. 

Executive Chef Matthew Cappellini guides guests through the five-course dinner and wine pairing. Tickets for the very limited 8-seat gathering are $85. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a reservation. Additional dinners in the series are 7 p.m. October 4 and November 15. Reservations can be made at eventbrite.

View complete list of food vendors and other activities. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 11-13; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 14-15. Admission is free.

Artango salutes National Mojito Day

Artango Bar and Steakhouse, 4767 N. Lincoln, celebrates National Mojito Day with $7 mojitos 5-7 p.m. July 11. Artango's classic mojitos are made with Cruzan aged rum, fresh squeezed lime juice, mint and sugar (regularly $10). 

Happy hour bites that includes: Pizza a la Parrilla (thin-crust grilled pizza); Lomito Sandwich (grilled steak on baguette, salsa criolla, chimichurri aioli, fried potatoes); Choripán (traditional Argentine chorizo sandwich); and Empanadas (beef; corn and cheese; caprese), will be available for $9.

Naperville's 6th Annual Beer Fest

The Sixth Annual Naperville Ale Fest takes place noon to 5 p.m. July 14 at the Naper Settlement in downtown Naperville. More than 200 craft beers will be available for sampling including A Christmas in July collection (winter beers not available in summer); House of Funk (sour, wild aged, and “funky” beers for the more adventurous drinker); Lager Lane ( light-bodied and refreshing craft lagers); West vs. East Coast IPA (a throw-down competition between East and West coast-style IPAs) and Cider Alley (craft ciders from Chicago and out of state).

In addition to beer an array of food trucks will be on hand and  live music will fill the air. A pre-event yoga fitness session will take place 8-10 a.m. Tickets.

Cantina Laredo, 508 N. State, celebrate National Mojito Day (June 11) with $6 mojitos July 9-11.  

The hand-muddled, classic Cantina Mojito is made with Don Q Cristal Rum, fresh mint, lime and cane sugar (regularly $9.75). Pomegranate, strawberry and mango mojitos will also be available for $6 each (regularly $10.25). 

Chef Damon Workman's modern Mexican lunch and dinner dishes, including top shelf guacamole, ceviche, fajitas, tacos, enchiladas make for a perfect pairing.

Joy District, 112 W. Hubbard, hosts a 4th of July roof-top party featuring $5 hot dogs with all the trimmings served from a hot dog cart. A round of new drinks will be featured including melon ming margarita (Casamigos Tequila, watermelon, lime juice, mint, bitters); Lost Cause (Sipsmith Gin, pineapple juice, lemon, IPA); Cucumber Cooler (Effen Cucumber, Aperol, simple syrup, mint) and Netflix and Chile (green chile vodka, cucumber, lemon, dil). Cocktails are $14 each.

In addition the Parlay at Joy District opens a 3 p.m. and will feature a special 4th of July Happy Hour  4-7 p.m. featuring $7 1942 shots; $20 domestic beer buckets; 425 Corona buckets and half-off specialty cocktails. Food items include mini double-stack burger sliders (truffle aioli, cheddar cheese, dill pickle, lettuce, tomato; $19), the Parlay Burger (double beef patty, pork belly, American cheddar, pickle, lettuce, tomato, special sauce, sunny-side up egg, brioche bun; $18).
