Cody's anniversary weekend party and Empty Shelters event

Cody's Public House, 1658 W. Barry Ave., hosts it one year anniversary with a weekend celebration December 10-11. The fun kicks off Dec. 10 with  $1 drinks from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Selections include: mimosas; bloody Marys and Miller Lite. 

The fun continues with the The Mix 101.9 FM, who has partnered with Bissell Pet Foundation to aid in funding adoptions fees's, "Empty the Shelters" live fundraiser broadcast to help find homes for local shelter dogs. 

In addition there will be other specials for the day that include a dog-themed cocktail along with special price drinks that include: Leinenkugel pints ($5); Skrewball ($5) and Miller and Coors buckets ($20). A Leinenkugel sampling will also take place as well as a raffle. There will also be a special dog-themed cocktail.

Day two of the event (December 11) includes Cody's tree decorating party featuring a free breakfast buffet from noon to 2 p.m.; doggie photos with Santa, polaroid and paw print ornaments and free pup cups. Drink specials will include: $5 mimosas and $20 Miller and Coors Light buckets along with a dog-themed cocktail menu.

And of course, it wouldn't be a dog friendly venue or event with your pup. Dogs will be welcomed but must be on a leash. Call: 773-799-8217
