Le Sud Mediterrnean Kitchen, 2301 W. Roscoe St., in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is featuring the La Paola cocktail (Corazón Blanco Tequila, grapefruit juice, chamomile and strawberry syrup, and lime juice, $13) through October. 

In support of the breast awareness effort $1 from every La Paola cocktail sold will benefit the Lynn Sage Foundation.

Le Sud is open for dinner Tuesday-Thursday from 4:30-9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 4:30-10 p.m., and Sunday from 4-9 p.m. Weekend brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

River North Fests present Island Party Hut Fall Fest on the River, 355 Chicago Riverwalk between Lake Shore Dr. and Columbus.

Event includes hayrides, live musics festive fall cocktails along with beer. Apple cider donuts will also be available. Other events hayride on the river, games, a pumpkin patch, Bounce house and photo ops will be available as well.

Lincoln Park Wine Fest kicks off  5 p.m. October 6, Jonquil Park, 1001 W. Wrightwood Ave.  Food and wine vendors will be on hand for the festive occasion. 

Events include a VIP tasting from various wineries that include; Château de Gourdon in France, to Peju in Napa Valley, to Casa Vinicola Bennati in Italy. Other prestigious wineries featured on the VIP list include Amici, Aviara Prana, Stuhlmuller Vineyards, Roberts + Rogers and more. 

And it's not a party without some good tunes, which DJ Julio supplies. Craft vendors will also be on hand.

Weekend hours are: 6-8 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. General admission is $35 in advance; $58 at the door. VIP packages available for $75.

The 2023 Beer Fest at The Field Museum, 1400 S. Lake Shore Dr., takes place 7 p.m. October 7. More than 65 breweries featuring more than 200 selections will be on hand. Guests can stroll throughout the museum while sampling seasonal selections.
