SideDoor's Inaugural Guest Chef Dinner

Baconfest is Near
Bacon lovers get your chops in gear because Bacon Month and the city's popular Baconfest is right around the corner. Events for the month kick-off with the Greater Chicago Food Depository's Bacon Month Volunteer Day, March 28. The Second Annual Bacon Month Kickoff Party is March 31. Whole Foods hosts two chef-conducted bacon master classes paired with Lagunitas beers, April 4 (south loop location) and April 11 (Lincoln Park) along with a free bacon sampling noon to 3 p.m. April 11 at participating stores. The Berkshire Room bacon tastings are April 8 and 15; bacon themed painting class is April 16 at the Acme Hotel Company, which will also hosts Kevin Bacon movie nights Tuesday in April. Auditorium Theatre Transforms into the Batcave
Enter the Batcave, okay it's the Auditorium Theatre, 50 E. Congress, transformed into the Batcave for the venue's "Made in Chicago" Movie Series' screening of "The Dark Night," filmed on location in Chicago. Soho House Hosts Art Talk: Wasalu Jaco
Chicago rapper and artist Wasalu Jaco or, as he is known by his stage name Lupe Fiasco, is the featured guests during an art talk moderated by Chicago artist Hebru Brantley 11 a.m. Feb. 28 at The Allis, 113-125 N. Green. During the event Jaco will introduce new pieces from his collection, which includes works from the cover of his latest album "Tetsuo and Youth," released last month. Pieces from the collection will be available for purchase. The art talk is in conjunction with the third installment of House Graffiti on Green featuring works by local artist Sentrock, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 28.
